This module explores the foundational nature of the Bible and its vital role as the inspired record of God’s relationship with humanity. Students will learn to navigate the 66 books that comprise this unique library, categorising them into distinct literary forms: Law, History, Poetry, Prophecy, Gospels, and Letters. The course examines the remarkable unity of the two Testaments, Old and New, bridging the 1,600-year span of its writing to reveal a consistent message of love and salvation.
The course emphasises that the Bible is “God-breathed” and serves as a definitive guide for daily living rather than a mere historical record. By evaluating claims of divine inspiration and historical survival, students will be equipped to read and understand the scriptures independently and effectively. This study aims to remove the common roadblocks that hinder biblical progress, providing the keys necessary to transform “Words of life” into a source of hope and spiritual maturity.
